Helvetica font metal letters. The first version of Helvetica was created in 1957 by Max Miedinger, a Swiss typeface designer. His goal was to design a new sans-serif typeface that was neutral. He created a font that was simple and could be used in a variety of ways. ‘When in doubt, use Helvetica’ is a common rule because of the simplicity and the ability to fit many needs. This font is one of the most widely used typefaces in the world.
Helvetica Trivia: The name Helvetica is derived from Helvetia, the Latin name for Switzerland.

The plaque with the tandem bike is totally gorgeous. I knew it had been shipped,and left for a tandem bicycle weekend tour in Vermont. I still didn’t tell my husband about my surprise , and when we arrived at home, the box was in our breezeway. What a wonderful way to be welcomed after a fun weekend of cycling with friends. My husband LOVES it. We will hang it after the new outdoor railings are installed, and will send you a picture. It is beautifully crafted and unique. It’s attached to the front of my house near the front door and just above the spot in the front garden where I have buried by 3 cats under a yaupon holly tree. A recent conversation with one of our awesome customers:
Well, it’s beautiful but there is one problem. We thought it was a brass or metal plaque. We did speak with a few others companies and that was what we were dealing with and of course for the cost…
You were the most expensive of the four or five we we searched. And one company thought the product was great(they seemed jealous) but we were talking a metal plaque with that firm too.
Can this be hung outside? We live in Marco Island, it gets warm here in the summer my concern is it will fall apart or not stand up very well.
What’s your opinion. If it works fine but what kind of care will it require? It has no use but for the exterior of our home.

I received the package yesterday in perfect condition and I must say that I was blown away when I opened it up… the plaque is EXACTLY what I was hoping for and I couldn’t be more delighted! I had to share what just happened. My address plaque arrived this afternoon, and as I bent over to pick it up (one-handed, I lost my grip on it–I tried to catch it, but instead, flipped it about 7′ into the air. It came crashing down on my concrete driveway on one corner–I was so worried I dinged it (or really crushed it). NOPE! It’s perfect. My compliments to the packer–double bubble-wrapped, packed in heavy paper and a nice sturdy box. Well done! The plaque looks as great as the packing material. Thank you.
