When do I get my sign or plaque? About two weeks from your order date your plaque will ship from
our facility in Lake Mills, WI. If your order has custom graphics and
designs it will ship about two weeks from when all the artwork is
approved by you and or paid.
Current Designs:
Atlas Signs and Plaques reserves the right to ship our most current
designs which may vary from our online catalog and photos. We also
reserve the right to make text, font, punctuation, and design changes
to facilitate readability and suitability to the sign size. Our online
catalog contains photos of real signs and plaques, however we reserve
the right to make changes to give the most pleasing appearance, in our
opinion. We do not spell check and therefore, you are responsible for
spelling errors.
Colors:
Due to variances in materials utilized for your sign or plaque, colors
may have differences and variations. Metal finishes are also affected by
the ambient conditions in our shop during our creation process. Colors
also present differently in photos than to the human eye, and each
computer monitor and browser combination renders colors differently. All
of these variables are a normal occurrence, and therefore Atlas Signs
and Plaques cannot offer warranty protection against color variations.
Shipping and Handling Charges -We usually ship USPS Priority Mail or USPS First Class International.
FedEx priority or FedEx Ground is an option for time sensitive or large
shipments. We may offer to get an approximate cost estimate for truck
shipments. You do have the option of selecting your preferred carrier,
however, we may require lift gate services on our end which can be a
factor. For international orders you are responsible for any tariffs,
taxes and any other fees associated with your location.
Incorrect Shipping Addresses and UPS Address Correction Fees - To
help prevent delivery delays, please double check the shipping address
prior to submitting your order. The most common mistakes made when
providing us with a shipping address are incorrect zip code, missing
company name, missing suite or apartment number, and wrong street
number.
In all fairness,
packages that are returned to us because of an incorrect or incomplete
address will be charged shipping charges again when your package is
reshipped. In addition, any fees billed to us by shipping agencies for
address correction or address change will be charged to you when we
receive them. UPS bills $5.00 for correction of each ground package and $10.00 for correction of each air package regardless of how minor the address correction may be.
Other Important Issues - We
complete our projects on time and ship in a manner and time that will
get your order to you as requested. However, we are not responsible for
delays caused by weather, wrecks, strikes, strife, or anything out of
the ordinary that might affect shipping times.
Specific Delivery Requests:
Unfortunately we can not accept requests for a parcel carrier to leave a
package without signature or at a specific location at your home (for
example, your garage, backyard, front porch, hallway, with the neighbor,
etc.). If you have a specific delivery request, we suggest placing a
note on your door for the parcel carrier with your request and
signature.
Canceling order -
All our signs and plaques are custom. Made just for you. Once your
order is processed we start moving fast to get you your order ASAP. If
production has started on your order we can not authorize cancellations
and no refund will be issued.
Damaged During Shipping -
Keep boxes and packing materials intact. If you toss those things
before the shipper has time to see them they will do nothing. If the box
is damaged and the driver is present have them make a note and have
them wait until you open the package to inspect for damage.
Privacy Policy - Atlas

Our No Warranty Sign and Plaque Warranty - It may seem odd for a company that makes such reliable signs and plaques to not have a standard instant freebie replacement - warranty, but hold on. Just because something that's defective is likely to break, doesn't mean anything that breaks is defective. Even superbly designed, artfully made signs and plaques used according to design intent can break. We know that, and go to great lengths to prevent it.
We're skilled, experienced non-defective sign and plaque makers. We use top-notch, proven, non-defective materials. We're selective about where we procure out materials. When it comes to caring about design and finishes well, frankly, we are anal.
It is impossible to tell the history of the sign and plaque. It may be impossible for even its owner to know it. Sometimes even good things break, and anybody, or any company who doesn't acknowledge that is not being honest.All that said, defective signs and plaques are rare. Tell us your sign and plaques story. We may be able fix it for nothing, but you pay the shipping. Or we may charge a fee for the fix. Or we might politely explain that we can't do anything. It is at our discretion, but we're not your enemy, and you are our friend. We keep that in mind, always.
If you are unhappy with the finish of the sign or plaque, well, then you don't understand the process and have not read the numerous pages on this site, as well as our blog describing it before you made your purchase. The process is very labor intensive, meaning minimal machines, handcrafted one at a time. The patinas we use are a chemical reaction, no paint. So while we have some control over that part by no means do we have 100% control. No two of our signs or plaques will be exactly the same. (look at the pictures to see that is true). So you need to accept that the variability is part of the magic and charm in our signs. If you can't accept the concept, you shouldn't be ordering from us.
Each of our signs are inspected before leaving Lake Mills, WI and shipped to you. We would never consider shipping your sign that is below our standards and we think we set that bar really high. But if you really think we missed something then call us to discuss.
In any case, we feel beholden to original owners only. No other warranty (or non-warranty) is implied, so don't go inferring any. But no matter how you came upon your sign or plaque, we are happy to advise you on how keep it looking great. Fair enough?
